Chris Madrid, Associate Marriage and Family Therapist
Driven by a lifelong fascination with human experiences, I'm dedicated to understanding the roots of our behavior. My therapeutic journey has illuminated the profound impact of empathetic, attuned, and non-judgmental support, inspiring me to view the realm of mental health as a calling. I am devoted to fostering an environment of trust, safety, and acceptance, where individuals can explore the depths of their experiences.
I hold a bachelor's degree in Psychology and Ethnic Studies from the University of Colorado, Boulder, and a master's in Marital and Family Therapy from California State University, Dominguez Hills. Professionally, I've worked as a therapist and clinical case manager, helping clients tackle challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, psychosis, domestic violence, and anger management. I am particularly passionate about working with adolescents, helping them to solidify positive relationships and develop foundational skills for future success.
I predominantly view therapy through a solution-focused lens, guiding individuals to uncover their unique strengths within the security of a genuine therapeutic relationship. I believe that trust is paramount for self-discovery and meaningful disclosure to thrive. I am eager to walk alongside you as you embark on the transformative journey of creating positive change in your life.
